I Donated $1 For Aquisitions Incorporated

After watching the latest adventures of Aquisitions Incorporated, and rekindling my interest in roleplaying games, I thought about how I could say thanks to the gaming community at large and give back to the community as a whole at the same time. Here's my idea:

I want to have a large donation made to Child's Play in the name of Aquisitions Incorporated.

Some people may not know what Aquisistions Incorprated or Child's Play are, so here's quick rundown:

Aquisitions Incorporated is the name of the Dungeons and Dragons adventuring group featuring the characters of Wil Wheaton, Scott Kurtz, Mike Krahulik, and Jerry Holkins. (aka Writer/Blogger/Geek/Actor/Sheldon's Nemesis, the creator of PVP, and the creators of Penny Arcade). They've done podcasts of their adventures (and recently recorded a video of their latest gaming session at PAX Prime 2010, see link above) and they've had a blast taking anyone who wants to come along for the ride.

Child's Play is a charity that has done the following:

Since 2003, over 100,000 gamers worldwide have banded together through Child’s Play, a community based charity grown and nurtured from the game culture and industry. Over 7 million dollars in donations of toys, games, books and cash for sick kids in children’s hospitals across North America and the world have been collected since our inception.

Now that I've established what two out of the three major players are in this shindig, here's where I address the third:

Here's what I'm asking you to do to help me out:

Step 1: Head over to Child's Play and click the PayPal logo in the "You Can Also Donate Directly Via" section.

Step 2: Donate $1 to Child's Play

Step 3: Tweet, blog, or communicate somewhere the following message and a link to this blog post:

"I donated $1 for Aquisitions Incorporated"


What's my goal? Ultimately, it's to provide some fun and good times to sick kids in hospitals. But, what I'd really like to happen is to have word of this get around and someone affiliated with Child's Play state something similar to the following:

"Aquisitions Incorporated has donated [insert amount of money here] to Child's Play."

That would really make my day and surprising Wheaton, Kurtz, Krahulik, and Holkins with that would be icing on the cake.

So, what do you say, Internet? Can you help me out to pull this off?
